I'll be signing copies of all 3 of my novels, plus all 3 anthologies I am in, at the second annual Fredericksburg, VA Book Festival.
A supernatural, pulp-noir crime-thriller novelization of Dog Fashion Disco’s concept album, “Adultery.” The story will be approached as a Dick Tracy meets Jacob's Ladder meets American Psycho.
I will have a new short story, currently untitled, in the anthology, "A Contract of Words," due out in 2018.
A comedic-military novel about the eight months my wife was deployed to Djibouti, Africa, in 2010 and left me home alone with two toddlers, and the learning curve and craziness that ensued during those months. Every night I would send her an email reviewing that day's shenanigans, usually including song lyrics from our favorite bands. I am compiling all those songs, and will use those specific lyrics to drive the story forward, while the main composition of the book will be centered around the content of those emails.
A novelization of Pink Floyd’s “The Final Cut” album combined with Roger Waters’ solo album, “Pros & Cons of Hitchhiking.” I’ll be taking both concept albums, and making them one cohesive storyline, using “The Final Cut” songs as the flashback scenes for the main character, and the “Pros & Cons of Hitchhiking” album as the present-day scenes.
A novelization of both Guns N Roses “Use Your Illusion” albums combined, as if both albums were one single concept album.
A novel adapted from all five Jane Jensen albums, is if all her album were one long single story arc about a struggling coffee-house singer/songwriter who packs up all her belongings and takes a cross-country trip with a group of friends to try to find success on the other side of the country. I will actually be working personally with Jane during the process. While the novel will obviously pull from certain songs more than others, her entire body of work will be represented in the plotline.
"Anesthetize (or A Dream Played in Reverse on Piano Keys)": A dramatic ghost story adaptation of Porcupine Tree’s concept album, “Fear of a Blank Planet,” for the short story anthology, “A Haunting of Words.”
I will be signing copies of all 3 of my novels, and the 2 short story anthologies that I am in, at the Fredericksburg, VA Book Festival held on Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Riverfront Park.
I will be featured in a short story compilation titled, "A Journey of Words," that will include stories from authors from all over the world. My short story, "The Whaler's Dues," will be exclusive to this collection. Release date of the collection is Fall, 2016.
